Walnut Creek, Calif.-based Heffernan Insurance Brokers, one of the largest independent insurance brokerage firms in the United States, has added Leslie Murphy to its board of directors.
Murphy is a Marin County resident and has been the CEO of W. Bradley Electric Inc. for nearly 20 years. With more than 200 employees, WBE is the 6th largest woman-owned business in the Bay Area and the largest woman-owned contractor in the Bay Area, with projects in single building high-rise, industrial and campus environments, and an annual sales volume of more than $65 million. Murphy recently was named a 2010 North Bay Woman Entrepreneur of the Year by Women’s Initiative.
