Headquartered in Carlsbad, Calif., (HLIS) has opened its doors as a full-service brokerage firm for commercial insurance business in multiple states.
In addidtion to its home office, the company will have two satellite offices in the west — all will focus on writing contractor insurance products, professional liability and main-street business BOP’s. HLIS is appointed with multiple managing general agents with access to more than 60 insurance markets in California, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Nevada and Utah. Carriers include: Navigators; United Contractors Insurance, RRG; American Safety; Colony; Travelers; Zurich; Benchmark; and more.
The company will be led by Hadley Wood, president and CEO. Wood was formerly the president of SHW Insurance Services Inc. working along with. Jerry Thompson. She has been working in the insurance arena for more than eight years. Previous to insurance, Wood was an executive at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios in Los Angeles.
