Washington’s Office of Insurance Commissioner has announced that the fingerprint fee for resident insurance agents and brokers will be reduced to $45.25 beginning July 1, 2009.
For non-resident applicants, the requirement has also changed. With the conversion to producer, if a non-resident applicants’ home state requires licensees to submit fingerprints, Washington will not require fingerprints to be submitted. However, if the non-resident applicants’ home state does not require fingerprints, then fingerprints will be required in order to obtain a non-resident license.
