The Insurance Skills Center plans to host several continuing education courses on litigation at its 15th annual Palm Springs Getaway, to be held Jan. 26-27, 2007.
According to ISC, the first day of continuing education courses will focus on what happens when agents get sued and what to expect when they go to court. Participants will learn about the litigation process and preparing for trial. In the afternoon, the ISC will host an errors and ommisions mock trial to reinforce proper business practices.
The second day of the getaway will focus on alternative markets and excess surplus lines, and understanding treaty and facultative reinsurance markets. The last class, Small Mistakes, Big Consequences, will discuss thoroughly reviewing the documentation of transacting insurance.
The Getaway is approved for continuing education credit in Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. There is an early bird fee for those who register by Dec. 31. For more information, visit or call 800-375-8704.
