Wayne Wilson has been appointed executive director of the California Insurance Guarantee Association (CIGA). He will succeed Lawrence Mulryan, who announced his retirement after serving as executive director since 1992.
Wilson will start work at CIGA in late June. He currently is vice president of legislative and regulatory affairs for Farmers Insurance Co. in Los Angeles, and has served on the CIGA board of governors for the past six years.
Wilson brings a strong educational and professional background to the position. Before Farmers, he was the head of the Western Regional Office of the American Insurance Association.
