Washington Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler announced that James “Scott” Jarvis will take on the position of Deputy Commissioner of Consumer Protection, heading up the Consumer Advocacy, SHIBA, Holocaust, Investigation and Examination programs. Jarvis currently serves as the Special Policy and Enforcement Administrator for the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions, and will assume his new post on Feb. 12.
Other recently appointed members of Commissioner Kreidler’s management team include: Mike Watson, Chief Deputy Insurance Commissioner; Beth Berendt, Deputy Commissioner for Rates & Forms; Bill Daley, Legislative Liaison; Gigi Zenk, Public Affairs; and Valerie Gerst, Executive Assistant to the Commissioner.
“Every new executive has an opportunity to take a fresh look at how an organization is structured and determine the right combination of current and new executives to lead the agency,” Kreidler said. “I now have an experienced and diverse team in place to meet agency priorities.” Kreidler took office on Jan. 10, 2001.
