MetLife Auto & Home plans to introduce a new enhanced homeowners insurance program in the state of Texas, the company announced.
Under the MetLife Auto & Home Residential Property Program (RPP), agents can work with customers to tailor a policy that better fits an individual’s unique needs. For example, customers in Texas will be able to select MetLife Auto & Home’s “Coverage A plus” option, which provides coverage for the full cost to repair or rebuild a house if it were destroyed, regardless of the limit of liability.
In addition, consumers in the high end market looking for dwelling, condo, or leasing coverage will be able to choose from Platinum products that offer the advantage of combining certain types of coverages, such as automobile and homeowner policies.
To support the rollout of the MetLife Auto & Home Residential Property Program, the company seeks to expand its agency distribution channel with the addition of independent agencies and career agents.
MetLife Auto & Home is a brand of Metropolitan Property and Casualty Insurance Company and its affiliates, Warwick, R.I. In Texas, coverage is provided by Metropolitan Lloyds Insurance Company of Texas.
