OneBeacon Professional Partners, a part of OneBeacon Insurance Group’s specialty segment, has acquired First Media
Insurance Specialists Inc.
First Media is based in Fairway, Kansas and provides media liability insurance solutions and services for small-to-midsize media companies on a primary and excess basis.
Matt Dolan, president of OneBeacon Professional Partners, noted, “We are thrilled to welcome the First Media team to OneBeacon. Partnering with this highly talented team enhances our position in the media liability marketplace and improves our ability to address the unique risk-transfer needs of advertisers, authors, film and program producers, publishers, broadcasters and similar media clients.”
Under the asset acquisition agreement, OneBeacon Professional Partners acquired all of First Media’s tangible and intangible properties, including its trade name and its renewal business, and hired all current First Media employees. They will continue to operate under the First Media name and will maintain its operations in Fairway, Kan.
Tilton will continue as president and current CEO, Larry Worrall, will serve as counsel to First Media.
