An impenetrable defense and a killer penalty goal from its 34-year old captain, Zinadine Zidane, propelled France into the World Cup Football (Soccer) final tonight.
The final score – France 1/Portugal 0 – doesn’t do justice to a match played by two superb teams. One mistake – a takedown in the penalty area – decided the game in favor of the French, who will now meet Italy in Berlin on Sunday in the final.
Ed. Note: This has little to do with insurance, other than the fact that the game was played in the state of the art Allianz stadium in Munich and the amounts some carriers will have to pay for injured players.
However, over 1.5 billion people will watch the final (according to FIFA estimates), which will make it the most viewed sporting event in history. That alone is worth noting.
Allez les Bleus!
