The Wilmington, Delaware City Council is considering a cell phone ban for drivers.
The bill introduced Thursday would ban the use of hand-held phones while driving.
Councilman Michael Brown believes the issue of safety will outweigh inconvenience.
The council is expected to vote in the coming weeks on the measure that would bar drivers from using phones without hand-free devices, text messaging and e-mailing too.
