Five workers at a north Jersey tow truck company face charges they took cash to steal cars and report them as stolen to insurance companies.
North Bergen police say an owner of High Point Towing, which operates in Union City and North Bergen, is charged along with four workers.
Police say the suspects were paid to steal large vehicles and trucks, and report them stolen.
The arrests cap a two-month investigation by numerous law enforcement agencies.
Charges include theft, conspiracy, arson-for-hire, and aggravated assault.
