Two Massachusetts companies cited for safety violations in the death of a 31-year-old Londonderry, New Hampshire construction worker have reached settlements with the federal government.
Robert Augeri died June 3 when a dump truck backed into him during a paving project on Interstate 495 in Lawrence, Mass.
The company he worked for, Brox Industries of Dracut, Mass., recently agreed to pay a $10,000 fine and to correct violations identified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Lewis Maynard Trucking of Methuen, Mass., also agreed to correct safety violations and pay a $900 fine.
