The New York Workers’ Compensation Board said it will expand a program to promote job safety for teenage workers.
The program is a partnership with the Department of Labor where the board refers to the department cases involving minors injured on the job. The labor department can then investigate any possible labor law infractions.
The program is already running in Buffalo and the board said it will soon expand the program to New York City and Long Island, with the goal of using it statewide.
