Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Acquires The Kooper Group, Inc.
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (NYSE: AJG) of Itasca, Ill., announced the asset acquisition of The Kooper Group, Inc. of New York City from Heath Lambert Holdings Limited. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1980, The Kooper Group, Inc. offers employee benefit consultation and brokerage services and specializes in life, health and disability insurance programs. Michael Kooper, area chairman, and his associates will continue to operate in New York under the direction of David Ziegler, executive vice president – Eastern region of Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
