The Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc. and the Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc. announced plans to conduct member surveys to determine agents’ views of companies in Connecticut and New York.
The surveys will be launched Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003 and will be available for the first time online at http://www.piaonline.org/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/piaonline/survey/showcompany.cgi.
The month-long study will poll independent agents on companies’ handling of claims, products and pricing, technology, and marketing support Last year PIACT conducted a similar company performance survey, which measured its members’ perceptions of insurance company performance. The study was done via a mail-in or fax-back survey form.
Last year approximately 80 agencies throughout Connecticut participated in the survey, returning 242 evaluation forms, which ranked 16 insurance companies. This year approximately 35 insurance companies will be evaluated throughout Connecticut and New York state.
