The Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society announced its Central Jersey Chapter would host a workshop, “Insuring Defective Construction鈥擟ritical Changes Every Professional Needs to Know,” Dec. 3 from 7:55am to noon at the American Re-Insurance Company, 555 College Road East, Princeton, N.J.
The workshop, hosted by R. Bryan Tilden, will deal with various subjects, including identifying the problem of defective construction, coverages available for breach of contract under CGL policies, and reviewing cases finding and refusing to find that defective work is an occurrence.
In addition, the workshop will explain the various trigger theories available, including allocation among policies, as well as examine defective work as property damage.
