Frank Bruckner of Pittsburgh has been appointed to a four-year term on the board of directors of Pennsylvania’s Insurance Fraud Prevention Authority (IFPA) by State Senator Robert J. Mellow.
Bruckner replaces Walter Brady as the insurance industry representative on the seven-man board following his retirement. He brings 16 years of experience in law enforcement, loss prevention and fraud investigation with the Washington DC Police Department, Sears Roebuck, the U.S. Postal Service and the FBI to the IFPA. Bruckner, who will leave his current position with UPMC Health Plan to join the IFPA board, most recently served for five years as a special agent in the Insurance Fraud Section of the State Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
Senator Mellow expressed confidence in Bruckner, stating that, “Insurance fraud is a serious and costly problem that needs to be dealt with aggressively.
