Hailstorms that hit central Oklahoma in April caused more than $75 million in damage, according to preliminary estimates released by the Oklahoma Insurance Department. The Associated Press reported that Insurance Commissioner Carroll Fisher believes companies will pay out an estimate of $75 million to $100 million to affected customers. The estimate excludes damage to uninsured homes and vehicles and money customers paid in deductibles. Nor does it include figures for business and government entities that insure their own property.
