July 3 2008 – Unitrin Specialty and Red Shield Insurance Company announced today that the two companies have formed a marketing relationship that will benefit both company’s appointed agents in Oregon and Washington.
Unitrin Specialty offers commercial auto coverage and Red Shield Insurance Company offers motor truck cargo and truckers general liability coverage for a wide range of commercial small and medium sized businesses. Both companies target and focus on insuring businesses ranging from service contractors and landscapers to couriers, contract haulers, and other types of trucking.
The companies are working on future “ease of doing business” enhancements and discounts that will benefit agencies and customers who place coverage with both Unitrin Specialty and Red Shield. As these enhancements are approved by the state departments of insurance, the two companies will inform their appointed agencies.
