The Federal Emergency Management Agency is making ederal disaster assistance available to California to supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by the severe winter storms, tornadoes, flooding, landslides and mudslides from Jan. 31 to Feb. 9.
FEMA said public assistance federal funding is available to the state, tribal and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the storms in Butte, Glenn, Los Angeles, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Sutter and Ventura counties.
Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide.
