CompWest Insurance has named Ibraheem Mohammed regional manager of business development.
Mohammed will be responsible for CompWest’s large account business development, focusing on accounts with annual premiums over $350,000.
Mohammed was previously a senior underwriter with The Hartford, and held several underwriting positions with the ICW Group.
CompWest specializes in workers’ compensation insurance, servicing accounts in California and select Western states. CompWest is a member of AF Group.
Monarch E&S Insurance Services in California has named Danielle Newsome a commercial underwriter/broker.
Newsome has been in the surplus lines insurance industry for 15 years. She specializes in the construction industry.

Summit, N.J.-based Specialty Program Group is a holding company established to acquire insurance underwriting facilities and specialty brokerage businesses throughout North America.
