The board of directors of the Arizona Insurance Council has changed the name of its property/casualty insurance trade association.
The group will now be operating as the Arizona Insurance Institute.
The name change is to reflect a new direction for the organization, and its mission is to support the growth and vitality of its property/casualty insurance industry and the economic development of Arizona, the group said.
“We have a stable, strong and growing insurance industry in Arizona,” Nicole Farr, communications manager for the group said in a statement. “The Arizona Insurance Institute is working on behalf of its members to assist in efficiently developing a pool of quality candidates for our current and future workforce; providing ever-expanding career opportunities. In addition, we are promoting a positive consumer image of the insurance industry and providing a networking venue to facilitate a stronger industry in Arizona.
Along with a new name, the group is introducing a new website: http://www.arizonainsuranceinstitute.com.
The Arizona Insurance Institute is a non-profit organization supported by P/C insurers.
