Tanner Fornesi, assistant vice president at Heffernan Insurance Brokers, has been named vice chairman for the Sacramento chapter of the California Trucking Association.
Fornesi’s new duties will include attending monthly steering and planning committee meetings to make budgeting decisions for the unit, running those meetings in the absence of the chairman and planning events for the unit. He will also continue serving on the safety, security, and human resources policy committee and will retain his voting capabilities regarding the global direction of the CTA.
Fornesi will complete his term on the board for on Dec. 31, and will begin his term as vice chair when in the first of the year.
Walnut Creek, Calif.-based Heffernan has offices in San Francisco, Petaluma, Menlo Park, Los Angeles and Orange County, as well as in Portland, Ore. and St. Louis, Mo.
The CTA serves the commercial motor carrier industry in California, and the companies that provide products and services to those companies.
