A woman and her 8-year-old son, injured in the crash-landing of Asiana Flight 214, are suing the airline over the accident.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported the lawsuit, filed in federal court, accuses the airline of “wanton and willful disregard for the rights and safety of all passengers.”
Younga Jun Machorro and Benjamin Machorro were seated toward the front of the plane when it clipped a seawall, sending it spinning down the runway in San Francisco. Three people were killed.
Their lawyer, Michael Verna, says the Machorro and her son suffered back and neck injuries.
Machorro’s husband is also named in the suit, which was filed Monday, claiming loss of companionship and emotional distress from his wife’s injuries.
Verna says the family lives in the Bay Area but declined to identify their hometown.
