Clark County fire investigators have ruled the fire that caused an estimated $1 million at a medical building in Las Vegas was an accident.
KLAS-TV reported an electrical issue caused the fire Wednesday morning at the building across the street from Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center near Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn.
About 50 firefighters responded to the blaze. Flames and black smoke billowed from the building and the middle of the roof collapsed, sending flames higher into the air.
No one was injured.
County officials say a number of businesses with offices in the building will be displaced for some time, including Quest Diagnostics, Southern Nevada Medical Group, West Coast Imaging and Sunrise Pediatrics.
