Zurich North America has relocated its Southwest regional office in Glendale, Calif., to downtown Los Angeles. The move affects roughly 150 personnel — executive management, underwriting (workers’ compensation, liability, auto, property, professional, directors & officers, surety, umbrella, railroad, health care, accident and health), underwriting support, customer and distribution management, actuarial services, risk engineering, claims support and premium audit staff.
The move will give the company a greater ability to interact with some of its major brokers and put the regional staff in the center of the insurance industry of Southern California, the company said. The locale, 777 South Figueroa, also will enable staff to utilize mass transit and put Zurich within one to three blocks of most of its major brokers, the company said.
