A flash flood watch issued for the state of Hawaii on Monday has now been lifted by the National Weather Service.
The watch extended through Tuesday afternoon. The weather service said the potential for heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms was caused by a moist, unstable air mass over the islands.
The weather service said that generally muggy conditions are expected to persist in the state until the weekend.
