Sacramento, Calif.-based and TDIC Insurance Solutions have hired Jim Richardson as president and CEO.
Richardson has more than 20 years of management, administrative, public policy and insurance experience. Since January 2007, he served as chief deputy commissioner for the California Department of Insurance. In this role, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of a staff of 1,200 and a $200 million budget. He also provided policy advice to Commissioner Steve Poizner on a wide variety of regulatory, legislative and political issues.
Prior to CDI, Richardson was principal and CEO of Golden State Consulting. He has also led synchronized operations and smooth transitions in some very complex environments, such as managing the transition team for Governor-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger.
