Matthew Shiroma has been promoted to program manager of the newly created contracts and purchasing department for . The department oversees the purchasing of capital equipment, contracting for services, and contract management and administration.
Shiroma joined State Fund’s corporate headquarters in San Francisco when he was hired as a personnel services consultant in 1993. In 1999, he was promoted to senior systems consultant, where he was a web-development trainer and Windows server administrator. In 2003 he joined Information Technology, when he was appointed data processing manager II where he managed the maintenance and support of mission-critical function teams.
