Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP has named David F. Hauge a partner in the Insurance Regulatory Practice Group, in the company’s Los Angeles office.
Hauge has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry as both in-house and outside counsel. He defends class action and unfair business practice-related litigation filed against insurers, financial services firms and their agencies and represents insurers and agents in insurance department administrative hearings. He has testified for clients in regards to proposed regulations, and also counsels insurers and other financial institutions regarding business, regulatory and legal issues that may arise in market conduct, rate and other regulatory examinations and major transactions such as mergers and acquisitions.
