GeoVera Holdings has become the newest member of the American Insurance Association (AIA), the two organizations announced. GeoVera was elected to membership at the recent AIA Board of Directors meeting.
“We are very pleased that GeoVera has chosen to join AIA,” said Governor Marc Racicot, AIA president. “This is a truly dynamic group, working in a very challenging and essential part of the property/casualty business. We are proud to count them as a member of our association and look forward to working on their behalf.”
GeoVera Holdings Inc. is a newly formed holding company organized by San Francisco-based private equity firms Friedman Fleischer & Lowe (Nachrichten) LLC and Hellman & Friedman LLC. GeoVera recently purchased the CATRisk Operation of St. Paul Travelers.
GeoVera’s management team – which has led the CATRisk operation since its inception in 1993 – continues to lead the business. Kevin Nish serves as chief executive officer and Karen Padovese is chief operating officer.
