The American Insurance Association (AIA) welcomed the April 26 appointment of Andrea Hoch as director of the California Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC). Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) announced his appointment today.
“AIA and its member companies congratulate Ms. Hoch on her appointment as California’s new director of the DWC,” said Ken Gibson, AIA vice president, Western Region. “We look forward to working with the new director and her team on the implementation of California’s new workers’ compensation reform legislation. The DWC will play an integral role in the development of fee schedules and regulations that are necessary to make the cost savings in Senate Bill 899 a reality,” Gibson said.
Ms. Hoch comes to her position at the DWC from the California Department of Justice where she served as a chief assistant attorney general for the Civil Law division.
