Richard Bowers has been named senior vice president, Marketing Planning and Development at Acordia of California Insurance Services Inc. Based in San Francisco, he will support both the wholesale and retail sales and retention efforts of Acordia’s local Property & Casualty and Employee Benefit producers.
Over Bowers’ 30-year insurance career, including his 16 years with Acordia, he has held several underwriting, administrative, and marketing roles and his experience uniquely qualifies him to tackle the projects and activities of his new position.
Before joining Acordia in 1986, he held positions at National American Insurance Company, Albert M. Bender Company, and CSE Insurance Company. Prior to his new position, he was senior vice president of Acordia’s Program P&C Division, a wholesale operation specializing in workers’ compensation insurance.
