California Governor Gray Davis announced the appointments of James C. Cuneo and Janice M. Jamison Murray as commissioners of the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.
The Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board is a quasi-judicial board that hears and makes final rulings upon cases concerning issuance of compensation insurance to employees who have been injured on the job.
Cuneo, 61, is president/shareholder for Cuneo, Black, Ward and Missler, a law corporation. He is also a member of the California Compensation Defense Attorneys Association and the American Bar association.
Jamison, 37, of Los Angeles, served with the Federal Communications Commission from 1996 to November 2000. She is a member of the Federal Communications Bar Association and the National Bar association.
