Arthur J. Gallagher and Co. and Persing, Dyckman & Toynbee Inc. have merged. Persing, Dyckman & Toynbee is an independent insurance brokerage that has operated in the Tacoma, Wa., area for more than 50 years. It was started by Dug Dyckman who passed the business down to his son Doug Jr. who remained active with the company until 1994.
In 1989 Curt Dyckman, grandson of Dug, took over. Collectively PD&T’s 35 employees represent nearly 500 years in the insurance industrymost of them in the Puget Sound area. Arthur J. Gallagher has had an office in Bellevue, Wash., for more than 10 years and its business plan included increasing the company’s presence in the Washington state area.
Persing, Dyckman & Toynbee, Inc. will maintain its current name but will add – Division of Arthur J. Gallagher group of companies to its title.
