Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp has reaapointed Neera Bahl to another term on the state Board of Workers’ Compensation.
The three-member board, which includes Director Benjamin Vinson and Chairman Frank McKay, acts as the appeals panel, hearing appeals from administrative law judges in claims disputes.
The board also works with a state advisory council to develop workers’ compensation policies and changes to statute.
Kemp first appointed Bahl in 2020. She immigrated from India in 1979 and earned her law degree at John Marshall Law School in Atlanta. She has managed her own law firm, focused on immigration and family law, and served on the state’s Judicial Nominating Commission, according to her bio page.
