Higginbotham, one of the largest independent insurance brokerages and human resources firms, has acquired an interest in Total Employee Benefits, based in Atlanta.
“We’re proud of our property and casualty practice in Atlanta,” Higginbotham CEO Rusty Reid said in a press release. “But we really wanted to step up the employee benefits side.”
TEB is a woman-owned business led by Practice Leader Rachel Collier, who has been in the benefits business for 30 years, the companies said.
Higginbotham, with headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, was founded in 1948.
