Massachusetts-based ShoreOne, one of the relatively few insurance companies to offer homeowner perils as well as flood protection, has named Brad Burton senior vice president of operations.
Burton was previously VP for underwriting at Olympus Insurance Co., and was with other Florida insurers before that, ShoreOne said in a news release. He will be based in Tennessee but will work with offices in other states.
Burton, a decorated Army helicopter pilot, has 25 years in the property/casualty business.
ShoreOne Insurance Managers, Inc. was founded in 2019 to address the coverage gap that flood-exposed coastal homeowners face, the company said. ShoreOne provides one policy that covers homeowners’ perils as well as flood. Policies are distributed through independent insurance agents.
ShoreOne currently operates in South Carolina, New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts.
