Accelerant, an insurtech for underwriters who serve small and medium-sized businesses, has named Kenny Holms chief decision scientist.
Holms will bring together data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning and actuarial experience to develop insurance solutions, the Georgia-based company said in a news release. Holms was previously senior vice president at Acrisure; chief data scientist and chief actuary at Willis Towers Watson’s InsurTech MGA platform, and head of predictive analytics at Argo Group. He received his Ph.D. in physics from Glasgow’s University of Strathclyde, where he studied computational, nonlinear, and quantum optics.
Accelerant calls itself a technology-based insurance platform for managing general underwriters and agencies in the United States and Europe.
