Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Ocala, Fla.-based Barrett, Liner & Buss LLC. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1981, Barrett, Liner & Buss offers a range of employee benefit solutions to Florida employers representing a variety of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing and education.
Following the transaction, Thomas Buss and his associates will continue to operate from their current location under the direction of John Tournet, head of Gallagher’s Southeast region employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations.
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., a global insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services firm, is headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Ill. The company has operations in 49 countries and offers client service capabilities in more than 150 countries around the world through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants.
