Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Southaven, Miss.-based Pointer Insurance Agency, Inc. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Pointer Insurance Agency offers a broad range of property/casualty coverages to businesses and individuals across Mississippi and Tennessee, with a focus on commercial and residential construction, restaurants, the hospitality industry, and artisan contractors. Pointer also offers health, life, disability and long-term care coverages for individuals and families.
Jon Pointer, Lisa Metz and their associates will continue to operate from their current location under the direction of Bumpy Triche, head of Gallagher’s Mid-South region retail property/casualty brokerage operations, and Robby White, head of Gallagher’s South Central region employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations.
Patrick Gallagher, Jr., chairman, president and CEO, said the acquisition will help Gallagher build its retail brokerage presence in the Northern Mississippi and Memphis region.
