A Maryland company has filed a lawsuit against companies tied to The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia for failure to pay for services and equipment claims.
The Charleston Gazette-Mail reports Select Event Group Inc. filed the $800,000 lawsuit Jan. 3.
The company claimed it provided special event-related services and equipment for Old White Charities, which organizes The Greenbrier Classic golf tournament. The lawsuit also names OWC and the Greenbrier Hotel Corporation.
The 2016 Greenbrier Classic was canceled following flooding. The lawsuit doesn’t specifically name the flood as a cause of damage or loss.
The lawsuit is among several against the defendants claiming a failure to pay out on restoration work or rental equipment in the same time frame.
A spokesman for The Greenbrier didn’t respond to the newspaper’s request for comment.
