The National Weather Service says it has confirmed five tornadoes touched down in Middle Tennessee during storms July 2.
The Tennessean reports two tornadoes touched down in Wilson County, two in Old Hickory and one in Mt. Juliet around 5:30 p.m.
Each only touched down for a few minutes and mainly caused light structural and tree damage. Meteorologist Mark Rose said a tornado that hit near the Wilson County Fairgrounds a mile southeast of Lebanon destroyed the fairgrounds’ information booth.
All the tornadoes were classified as EF0, which is the weakest classification.
