CBIZ Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio, has acquired Weekes & Callaway Inc. (W&C), an independent insurance agency based in Delray Beach, Florida, effective Nov. 1, 2014. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1954, W&C offers insurance products and services including commercial lines, personal lines, risk management and employee benefits. W&C provides services to a wide range of industries and has developed an expertise in providing insurance products and services to the private golf, yacht and country club communities, CBIZ said. W&C has 50 employees and is expected to add approximately $9.0 million to annualized revenue.
CBIZ Chairman and CEO Steve Gerard said this transaction is an important step in continuing to build out CBIZ’s national footprint. “This acquisition will further strengthen our presence in Florida and expand our profile in the club industry,” he said.
CBIZ Inc. provides professional business services including insurance, employee benefits, tax and accounting, financial advisory, mergers and acquisitions, recruitment and technology staffing.
