A Gwinnett County insurance agent currently under investigation by the state insurance commissioner’s office has agreed to surrender his license to sell insurance in Georgia, according to officials.
Insurance agent John Paul Kill, 63, signed a consent order on July 31 agreeing to voluntarily surrender his agent and agency licenses, announced Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens.
Kill operated Appeal Insurance Agency in Norcross. The order bars Kill from selling or soliciting insurance in the state.
Hudgens said an ongoing investigation into Kill’s practices at Appeal Insurance Agency will continue but he did not disclose the reason for the probe. He urged anyone who had a policy from Kill or Appeal Insurance Agency to contact his office.
