The hurricane season is almost here and Georgia Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens is inviting the public to attend the 12th Annual Hurricane Preparedness Expo on June 15.
Commissioner said the purpose of this annual event is to promote severe weather awareness, safety and hurricane preparedness. “We welcome all area residents to this free event to interact with local meteorologists, emergency management officials, banking institutions, insurance companies and restoration services, as they guide us on how to be prepared before and after a hurricane,” Commissioner Hudgens said.
Hourly door prizes will be given away and free food and drinks will be provided. Questions about this event can be submitted to Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner spokesman Glenn Allen at gallen@oci.ga.gov.
