Alliant Insurance Services, the nation’s largest specialty insurance brokerage firm, has announced that veteran broker Bill Nellen has joined the company as Executive Vice President to direct its national environmental practice. He will be based in Alliant’s office in Alpharetta, GA.
Nellen comes to Alliant after eight years as a broker with an international insurance brokerage firm where he most recently was a senior vice president and environmental practice leader for the Midwest U.S. With a master’s degree in environmental science from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Emory University, Nellen’s experience in the industry sector began with the environmental engineering and consulting firm Roy F. Weston and continued with later positions with both Zurich Risk Management and Marsh.
In addition to his responsibilities for expanding Alliant’s environmental practice, Nellen will assume an ongoing servicing role with a number of corporate risk and energy and marine accounts.
