GEICO recently named Carl Tims, CPCU, of Lakeland, Fla., assistant vice president in charge of claims for the Southeast regional operations office in Macon, Ga.
Tims began his career with GEICO in 1992 as a service counselor in Macon. He soon moved to liability claims as a claim service representative (CSR) and progressed to continuing unit examiner before becoming a CSR supervisor in 1998. Subsequently, Tims supervised telephone claim representatives and became a claims manager in Macon in 2003.
Two years later, Tims moved to GEICO’s headquarters in Chevy Chase, Md., to be the director of claims performance review.
Tims replaces previous Southeast claims assistant vice president Gary Musolf, who is retiring following a 43-year career with GEICO.
