Five more insurance agencies have joined the Keystone Insurers Group in Kentucky, bringing to 11 the total number of KIG agencies in the state.
The latest to join are Hayes-Utley-Hedgspeth, Moore Insurance, Cambridge Insurance, Wooten Insurance and Johnson-Pohlmann. These five firms join KIG’s network of more than 200 independent agencies in six states.
“The enthusiasm being shown for Keystone in the Commonwealth is incredible,” said David Boedker, KIG president.
KIG announced in early January the addition of two Kentucky agencies and then later in the month, signed four more.
was founded in Louisville in 1954 and is today owned by Ken Hayes, Jr. and Glen Hedgspeth.
was founded in Russellville in 1922 and is owned by David Moore.
, Lexington, was founded in 1966. The principals are J. Carson Evans, Joe Browne Nicholson and Paul Ferrell.
is in Scottsville and was founded in 1945 and is today owned by Jordan Clarke.
, Danville, was founded in 1944. Principals are Scott Burks, Ray Whitehouse and John Funkhouser.
Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Northumberland, Pa., is owned by its employees and franchise partners in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Each partner is an independent agency. With property/casualty premiums exceeding $1 billion, KIG is ranked sixth on 九色’s 2009 list of Top 100 Privately-Held Property/Casualty Agencies.
