Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Unum Group announced the promotion and appointment of Kevin McMahon as its new vice president and corporate treasurer.
McMahon joined Unum last year in Strategic Planning and Corporate Development and has been actively involved in the company’s capital management initiatives. He will continue this leading role as corporate treasurer.
Prior to joining Unum, McMahon served as the chief financial officer and controller for Wayfarer Marine Corp. and has extensive capital market knowledge and experience from a 20-year investment banking career that included positions in Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse First Boston and Salomon Brothers.
